Omni knows more than anything how stressful it can be to have damage from a severe weather event. Not only is there damage to your home or business, but you now have to sift through more contractors than you ever thought existed! (and not all of them are good news) To add to that hassle, most homeowners are also dealing with their home insurance for the very first time or the first time in a long time. It can feel impossible to know who to trust; who has your best interests at heart. Luckily, it doesn’t have to be that way. Omni can give you the tools and knowledge to navigate this with ease. Our goal is to help you make an empowered hiring decision.

INVESTIGATE

First things first, you’ll want to determine the extent of the damage. Storms often do damage that is not obvious to the untrained eye. When you schedule a free property inspection with us, one of our team members will perform a thorough inspection of your home exterior and document any storm damage as well as making note of any other issues you may need to know about.

INFORM

After we have completed our inspection, we’ll discuss the damage and show you the accompanying photos. We will outline any steps that need to be taken immediately as well as going over what the rest of the process looks like and what you can expect. We know that during this time many contractors will be knocking on your door, and as such we would like to give you a little advice now in addition to the information we will supply after your inspection.

  • You should never feel pressured to make a decision right away. A good contractor will take the time to build a relationship with you and give you the time to make a decision.
  • You should never be asked to pay an unreasonable deposit or to sign your insurance check over. In most situations, you should only need to pay your contractor when the job is complete.

We would love to answer any questions you have throughout the process.

INSURANCE

Once we determine that there is damage as a result of the storm, you will contact your insurance company to file a claim. They will send an adjuster or inspector to document and estimate the damage. We recommend that you have Omni there during this inspection to answer any questions they might have and provide them with any info we have that could make their job easier. They will provide you with their estimate of what it will cost to repair or replace the damaged property. This may happen the same day, but most times you will have the estimate within a week. We can go over the estimate with you, answer any questions you have, and make sure we can perform everything that needs to be done for what they have allotted.

INSTALL

Time to get everything back to how it was before the storm. Everything else is in order, and all that’s left for you is to pick colors and put our team to work!
